Tour Details

We offer several amazing running tours ideal for individuals or small groups of two to ten people.  We can cater for larger groups for corporate events, parties etc, just email us for further information.  Tours depart from the Crowne Plaza Edinburgh – Royal Terrace.  Every runner gets a free Edinburgh Run Tours running buff as a souvenir of your run.

T2 Trainspotting Tour (7 miles)

£30 per person plus £10 for each extra person

Choose Life!  Run in the footsteps of Mark, Spud, Sickboy and Begbie through the iconic T2 Trainspotting locations in Edinburgh.

Auld Reekie Highlights (4 miles)

£25 per person plus £10 for each extra person

Full of Edinburgh’s best know sites, the Auld Reekie highlights starts at the Crowne Plaza Edinburgh – Royal Terrace, experience the circle of the wealthy & fashionable along Royal Terrace and the mews before heading up Calton Hill to enjoy 360 degree views.  We head up Princes Street past the gothic rocket ship (can you guess how many steps it has?) taking in the Princes Street gardens before ascending The Mount up to the Royal Mile and the Castle before enjoying the downhill stretch towards the Palace of Holyrood House and the new Scottish Parliament.

Panoramic Edinburgh (6 miles)

£30 per person plus £10 for each extra person

As above plus a loop around the stunning Arthur’s Seat, or if you are game, all the way to the summit!  Take advantage of a stunning sunset or sunrise with our special tour below.

Water of Leith & Village life (7 miles)

£30 per person plus £10 for each extra person

Get away from the usual tourist trail and check out the delightful walkway known as ‘Water of Leith’ and visit the bustling and vibrant village of Stockbridge, a trendy hangout with a bohemian vibe full of locals of the Burgh.

Cobbles, trails & beach (12 miles)

£40 per person plus £10 for each extra person

A unique perspective of Edinburgh away from the main tourist sites, taking you past Duddingston Loch, past the oldest pub in Scotland, down to Portobello beach and back up along Brunstane Burn Path & along the Innocent Railway.  Uncover the real beauty of Edinburgh and where the local runners like to hang out.

Braw Whisky Night Run (adults only) (7 miles)

£50 per person plus £10 for each extra person

Edinburgh changes personality as night time descends throughout the city from the vibrant and exciting city night lights to the eerie haunted cemeteries and tunnels what better time to be exploring the city.  A fun route darting around the city and finishing off with views of the Castle lit up at night, let me take you safely through the darkened streets for a night time running tour.  We finish off the tour with a wee dram of whisky for a truly Scottish experience and will be sure to warm you all the way through to your toes, participants on the whisky drinking must be 18 years of age or older. (Head torch recommended, can be supplied if required).  Please note over summer, it is light until at least 10pm so not in darkness!

7 Hills of Edinburgh (14 tough miles)

£50 per person plus £10 for each extra person

This is for the experienced runners among you and not to be taken lightly as its a rather hilly (as the name would suggest) 14 mile circuit, so make sure you have some water and snacks with you.  This route is actually a race that takes place annually in June every year, but it is also a great way to see some stunning views of Edinburgh and beyond at anytime of the year on your own merit.  The route starts and finishes on Calton Hill, heading out to enjoy Corstorphine Hill, Craiglockhart Hill East, Braid Hill, Blackford Hill and up Arthur’s Seat before finishing back on Calton Hill.  Who knows we might even see a Zebra along the way!

Sunrise or Sunset Tour on Arthur’s Seat (6 miles)

£35 per person plus £10 for each extra person

Arthur’s Seat is a must do for any keen runner naturally…..but why not make it even more special and take in the views with the sunrising over the Firth of Forth or setting graciously behind the Castle.  Tour includes a flask of tea/coffee to sit back and enjoy or ask about upgrading to a bottle of bubbly!

Pentland Hills Meander (7 miles)

£55 per person plus £10 for each extra person

The Pentland Hills are a range of hills just 6 miles to the South of Edinburgh City, providing amazing trails, hills, reservoirs and even a pub!  I will pick you up at your location in Edinburgh and drive you to the hills, run and transport back.

Price on application.  We can design a unique tour to suit you and what experience you would like.  There are so many fantastic places in and around Edinburgh to explore, why not head out to The Pentlands, The John Muir Way out to North Berwick, or run along the Water of Leith to Balerno to list a few ideas.

    Hello! First time in Edinburgh.Are you able to take me on a short run, (eg auld reekie or shorter! I’m fit, mainly for basketball tho!) on Friday or Saturday morning first thing? Any time from 6 or 7 am? Thanks! I’ll follow u on twitter to see if I can join in with an existing group. Clare

    HI. I’m looking to book a runbing tour on 7th or 8th may 2017.. looking at seeing higheights of three beautiful city running about 5-6miles. I will be staying in three centre not 100% sure yet where abouts.

      Hi Katharine, that’s great. The Sunday 7th would work better for me. I would recommend either the Panoramic tour which takes in a trip up our extinct volcano Arthur’s Seat, or the Water of Leith for a bit more off the beaten track.
